A message from our Board
Without donors like you, we could not do what we do.  In 2017-18, we funded nearly $166,000 in vocational education grants to enable 77 grant beneficiaries to get the vocational education necessary to move into better paying jobs.

It takes someone very special to take time to make the tax credit donation that will change someone's life for the better - someone you may never meet.  Thank you for being one of our special people!

We wish you every success in the coming year.  Please share what we do with your friends, family, and business associates.  Among that group, there are very likely others who would like to make a difference!  We could help so many more if each of our donors would make a resolution to be an advocate promoting tax credit giving to TRVFA!
Vocational Training - Important for our Future

A 2016 World Economic Forum report found that "in many industries and countries, the most in-demand occupations or specialties did not exist 10 or even five years ago, and the pace of change is set to accelerate."

And recent data from Upwork confirms that acceleration. Its Upwork Quarterly Skills Index, released July 2018, found that "70 percent of the fastest-growing skills are new to the index."

Expect the change to keep coming. The WEF cites one estimate finding that 65 percent of children entering primary school will end up in jobs that don't yet exist.
