Our new grant application platform is working very efficiently. Since July 1, We have received 83 new grant applications. Some have already been funded and a few others have been declined. Some are out to Rotary Clubs for our required sponsorship screening interviews, and others are under review. If all that are currently in process in our system were to be funded, we would use all our available operating funds.
It is unfortunate that our busy season in receiving applications is the opposite time of year from our busy season in attracting donations. Because of this, we are temporarily pausing acceptance of new applications. We will be working to increase the rate of giving to TRVFA so that we can become active with application acceptance again in the foreseeable future.
